There is growing opposition to plans to move a cleft lip and palate centre from Edinburgh to Glasgow.
The NHS is proposing to merge Scotland's two clinics from the East and the West into one facility in Glasgow.
Around 100 babies are born with a cleft lip or palate in the country every year, and a petition by angry parents against the move has reached over 3,500 signatures.
Every child born with the condition requires re-constructive surgery, and treatments.
A statement from CLAPA Edinburgh, who support Edinburgh parents of children with a cleft lip or palate, says: "Our position on the question of whether there should be 1 or 2 centres providing surgical services in Scotland has remained consistent throughout the review process: both models can and do work in cleft teams currently...We will continue to ask for clear and transparent sharing of information regarding the review and its recommendation to move to a single centre."
The Scottish Government say that a final decision on the move has not yet been made.
