Firefighters have dealt with a major blaze at the multi-storey car park at Edinburgh Airport.

Travellers took to social media to share pictures of the blaze at its peak - and described "black plumes of smoke" billowing from the building.

It's reported that three cars caught alight.

The fire is now out, and the car park has re-opened.

Affected car owners will be contacted directly by Edinburgh Airport.

A spokesman said: "I can confirm that the fire in our multi story car park has been dealt with.

"We are currently investigating the cause.

"We thank passengers for their patience and cooperation as we handled the situation."
