50 Queensferry Crossing workers walk out in row over holiday pay

About 50 construction workers on the new bridge over the Firth of Forth walked out earlier in a dispute over holiday pay.

Employees of contractors Forth Crossing Bridge Constructors (FCBC) working on the Queensferry Crossing downed tools in protest.

Forth News understands the issue has now been resolved.

Transport Scotland said work on the bridge, estimated to cost between £1.35 billion and £1.4 billion, continued as normal.

Earlier this week, Infrastructure Secretary Keith Brown said the project was on schedule and significantly under-budget''.

The nearby Forth Road Bridge remains closed to all traffic due to ongoing repairs to a fault. It is hoped it will reopen by January 4.
