The highest-paid women in music this year have been revealed

Forbes have released their list of the highest-paid women in music and unsurprisingly Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Rihanna are all in the top ten, but there is only one Brit - Adele.

Of course Taylor Swift is way out in front earning a massive $170 million last year, compared to Adele's $80.5 million. Taylor made her millions through her 1989 world tour and brand endorsements.

Coming in second place Adele is unusual, not just because she is the only Brit in the list, but she also makes most of her money from album sales, rather than product endorsements. Her most recent album '25' became the best-selling album of 2015.

Others in the top ten include Madonna who's Rebel Heart Tour grossed $170 million, Beyoncé whose Formation World Tour grossed over $250 million and Katy Perry who banked $204 million from her Prismatic World Tour.

Those who have a Las Vegas residency make up the second half of the list including Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Shania Twain and Celine Dion.
