You might have already heard of Heinz's combination of mayonnaise and ketchup - Mayochup. But, despite much excitement about the product last year, it's not been available here, until now... Heinz have now confirmed they are bringing it to UK shores - but with a DIFFERENT name!

Heinz have opted for 'Saucy Sauce', as the new name and it will be available in Tesco from 23rd August, so not long to wait! Taking to Twitter, Heinz UK announced, 'Haven’t you heard? Our two favourite sauces, Seriously Good Mayo and Tomato Ketchup, are now the sauciest pair in town! 🔔💍'.

After announcing the news, one Twitter user asked, 'I’ve no idea why they’ve called it “Saucy Sauce”. For those old enough to remember, mixing Ketchup and Mayo is called A “Marie Rose".' sic

The condiment company quickly replied in a tweet, confirming it's UK name saying, 'Saucy Sauce is saucier than all the other sauces! It is the official marriage of the flavours of Heinz Seriously Good Mayonnaise and Heinz Tomato Ketchup'.

Mayochup was launched in the US last year and has proved popular, but it's understood due to trademark laws they were unable to use the same name in Europe.

This exciting new product comes just a couple of months after Heinz released a new version of Ketchup called Edchup with Ed Sheeran. Ed is a superfan of Heinz, and even has the brand's logo tattooed on his arm. He shared a picture of his exclusive ketchup onto his Instagram, writing, 'It's actually real and you’ll be able to get your hands on one very soon #Edchup.'

Saucy Sauce will be available to buy exclusively from Tesco from the 23rd August 2019 and will cost £2.69.
