10 things you'll never forget about learning to drive
Stalling, speeding and panicked looks
Stalling, speeding and panicked looks from the driving instructor. No matter how many years you've held your license, there are some moments you'll never forget...
1. The fear of roundabouts. You’ve had a decent drive but then you find yourself approaching the roundabout. Cue the dread, panic and worry.
2. Not knowing the speed limit. And then the ensuing panic at realising you're 1mph over.
3. Bunny hopping Think of it as making the car dance, it's not as embarrassing that way. 4. The parallel park. Your old nemesis.
5. 10mph being far too fast The first time you are in control of the car 10mph feels like you're in a Fast and Furious movie. 6. The instructor slamming the breaks on. I swear I checked my mirrors! 7. The feeling that two arms simply are not enough. To operate this vehicle I need at least four arms and another leg would be handy too!
8. Stalling. Followed by the full on panic to get the car started and moving again.
9. The feeling you are never going to pass. You have hit a wall (pardon the pun) and are absolutely certain you will never be free. 10. The terrifying examiner. Please don't fail me!
Does it bring back memories?
