There is a major presence of emergency services at a Staffordshire lake amid reports of three young people have fallen in.
Staffordshire Moorlands Police confirmed that there is "a large presence" of responders as they carry out investigations.
Officers first received reports of an issue in the lake at around 9:30pm on Saturday (February 24th).
Initial reports suggested that three men had fallen into the lake, each being determined to be about 17-years-old.
The West Midlands Ambulance Service attended the scene, alongside Staffordshire Police, to help pull the two men from the body of water.
Paramedics were also on hand to provide an initial assessment of the two men's health, before taking them to hospital for further tests.
However, a third man remains unaccounted for as services rush to locate him and pull him from the lake as soon as possible.
In a statement, posted to their social media channels, Staffordshire Moorlands Police described the current state of the rescue effort: "Specialist search teams are currently in the area alongside colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service.
"Our colleagues from the National Police Air Service also helped with the searches yesterday," the force added.
Officers also appealed to the public to avoid the area for now whilst the rescue effort is ongoing.
