Man, 65, fighting for life after being attacked by 'two teenagers' in Stockport
Police said the victim was "defenceless" at the time of the "sickening" incident
A 65-year-old man is fighting for his life in hospital after being attacked by two teenagers at Stockport Interchange.
The incident took place at around 9:45pm on Tuesday 23 April.
The victim was left with serious injuries and remains in a critical condition following treatment.
No arrests have been made at this time, Greater Manchester Police said.
The force has deployed extra officers to the area while work continues to track down those responsible.
Detective Inspector Shifa Chowdhury from our Stockport district said; “This is a sickening attack by what we believe was by two teenagers which left the victim who was defenceless with serious injury.
“We are now in a position to appeal to the public as we know members of the community were in the area at the time and witnessed what happened.
“Now is the time to come forward and do the right thing. No one deserves to see a family member or loved one be attacked in this way.
