Man charged with attempted murder after transgender teen stabbed in Southport
Emergency services rushed to a property on Albert Road on Saturday
A man has been charged with attempted murder after a transgender teenager was stabbed in Southport.
Just after 5.20pm on Saturday 27 July, emergency services were called to a report that an 18-year-old trans woman had been stabbed inside a property on Albert Road.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment and is in a stable condition, Merseyside Police said.
Mark Henderson, 38, of Albert Road in Southport has been charged with attempted murder. He will appear in Liverpool Magistrates Court this morning, Monday 29 July.
Police are continuing to appeal for any information which could help with their investigation.
