Downtown Radio has partnered with Coldplay to broadcast extended highlights of their London O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire concert!
To celebrate the release of their eagerly awaited ninth studio album ‘Music of the Spheres’, Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion played the famous West London venue Tuesday 12th October in front of just 2,000 lucky fans.
Ticket proceeds from the show went to ClientEarth, an environmental charity that uses the power of the law to protect the planet.

On ‘Music of the Spheres’ release day, Friday 15th October, Downtown Radio broadcasted extended highlights of the show on air at 7pm.
Featuring classic tracks from Coldplay’s incredible two-decade back catalogue alongside new songs from ‘Music of the Spheres' and maybe a few surprise guests!

Featuring anthem ‘Higher Power’, the 10-minute space epic 'Coloratura' and the BTS collaboration ‘My Universe’, Coldplay’s ‘Music of the Spheres’ was produced by Swedish pop songwriter and studio wizard Max Martin, who has previously worked with Britney Spears, The Weeknd, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry and Backstreet Boys to name but a few.
‘Music of the Spheres’ boasts 12 tracks including five songs that are titled as emojis – a Saturn emoji, heart emoji, stars emoji, planet earth emoji and infinity symbol emoji.
