Wins for Blues, Dungannon & Glentoran in Danske Bank Premiership

Cliftonville were held to a dramatic 2-2 draw by Coleraine in the Danske Bank Premiership on Saturday afternoon.

It was an absorbing clash, but in the end a Matthew Shevlin double in two minutes cancelled out a superb long-range opener from Ronan Hale, with Ronan Doherty also scoring direct from a corner for the Reds.

Larne's recent goal-scoring problems in the league continued when they were held 0-0 by Crusaders.

The Invermen have now scored just twice in the last five league matches.

Glentoran came away from Newry City with a 3-1 win. It was just the start Rodney McAree wanted to his reign as Glens boss following Mick McDermot vacating the hot-seat - although he remains at the club.

Niall McGinn opened his Glens goal-scoring account, but Jay Donnelly's long-range effort was the one which really caught the eye. James Teelan did pull one back for City, but the east Belfast men secured the points with another from Donnelly after Paddy McClean's red card.

Linfield took a 3-0 win over Ballymena United. Eetu Vertainen went away with the match-ball after a hat-trick for David Healy's side.

The win takes the Blues second in the Irish Premiership after Larne's dropped points.

Dungannon Swifts beat Glenavon 2-1 at Stangmore Park.

Mayowa Animasahun opened the scoring for the home side, before Aaron Prendergast responded.

Michael O'Connor's second half goal sealed the points for the Swifts
