Plucky Ports still hanging on
Larkin goal gives Currie's side all three points
Portadown live to fight another day in the Irish Premiership …
A Ross Larkin tap-in was enough to give Niall Currie’s men all three points against Ballinamallard at Shamrock Park last night.
The Ports are still rooted to the bottom – eight points from Carrick.
And with just three games left to play, they’ll need a miracle to avoid to the drop.
Indeed, they’ll be relegated if Carrick beat Ards later.
Elsewhere, today, points are also vital – and none more so for Crusaders and Linfield, now just a point apart in the race for the title.
The Crues travel the short distance to Solitude for a must-win game with Cliftonville, who are in pursuit of a European place.
And Linfield face their old boss David Jeffrey at Ballymena.
Meanwhile, Coleraine will be hoping to secure third place with a home win over Glenavon.
Finally, Dungannon Swifts take on Glentoran at Stangmore Park.
Kick-off in all of the games is 3pm
