Now Peel's on his way to Kingspan
Former British Lion Dwayne commits to Ulster
Dwayne Peel is set to join Jono Gibbes as part of Ulster Rugby’s backroom revolution.
The former British Lion and Wales scrumhalf is expected to become a backs coach at the Kingspan.
It is understood he has signed a two-year deal.
Earlier in the week former All Black Gibbes was announced as Head Coach from next season.
Peel comes with an impressive pedigree having been capped 76 times for his country and in 2007 captained the side at the World Cup.
Meanwhile Director of Rugby, Les Kiss says the win over Edinburgh had lifted the entire squad.
The bonus point victory halted a run of four consecutive defeats and Kiss believes this will help build momentum ahead of Glasgow this weekend.
Addressing the media yesterday he said the side could have played even better: “We looked at a couple of key things that could have made a massive difference.
“There were a lot of good things in the first half that we worked on in recent weeks that came off.
“Edinburgh pushed us closely and we didn’t quite respond the way we wanted but in the end we got the result.”
