Larne have taken a three-point lead at the top of the Danske Bank Premiership after today's win over Cliftonville.

Tiernan Lynch's side beat the Reds 2-1 at Inver Park, with a goal in each half from Leroy Millar and Andy Ryan. Paddy McLaughlin's visitors - who had Jamie McDonagh shown a second yellow card shortly before the hour mark, pulled one back through Jonny Addis, but it wasn't enough.

It puts Larne - who have a game in hand on their rivals - into a commanding position at the top of the table

Linfield reduced the gap on Cliftonville to just a single point following their 2-0 win at home to Carrick Rangers.

Despite losing striker Robbie McDaid to what looked like a serious injury in the early moments of the game, David Healy's side struck twice in the second period through Eetu Vetainen and Kyle McClean to win 2-0.

Crusadwers are also firmly in the title hunt with a 2-0 home against Coleraine this afternoon.

Paul Heatley put Stephen Baxter's men in front before half-time and the points remained in North Belfast with Adam Lecky's goal securing all three points for the hosts.
