The Belfast Giants are Elite League champions for the fifth time.
With the odds heavily stacked against them, Adam Keefe’s side showed nerves of steel to beat Dundee Stars 6-4.
Then it was a waiting game as title favourites Cardiff Devils played their final game of the season last night.
But they fell to a shock 3-1 defeat to Coventry Blaze – handing the title to the Giants.
It was an incredible end to a superb season which also saw them pick up the Challenge Cup and the Erhardt Conference trophy (see pic - Colin Shields).
In January the Giants were 11 points behind in the title race – but somehow they clawed their way back into contention.
Meanwhile, they will bring the curtain down on the campaign this weekend with the Play-Offs. They take on the Blaze in the quarter-finals first leg.
