Win and defeat for Belfast side in mixed Elite League season start

After a hard-fought first win in the new Elite League campaign, the Belfast Giants were brought back down to earth last night by a Lightning bolt.
The locals could not have asked for a better start to the new season after edging out the Guildford Flames in a 10-goal thriller.
But last night they lost 6-3 to newcomers, Milton Keynes-based side, the Lightning Strike.
The Giants did well to fight back from being 4-1 down but it was all a case of too little too late and the Strike ran out winners
