Decision expected today on new date for cancelled League Cup semi-final
Frozen pitch puts paid to Ballymena taking on Cliftonville
Northern Ireland Football League chiefs will meet later with representatives of both Ballymena and Cliftonville to fix another date for their postponed Bet McLean semi-final game.
The match was due to be played last night at the Showgrounds.
After an early afternoon pitch inspection the game was given the go-ahead – but then was called off later due to a frozen pitch.
It’s the third time the tie has been cancelled.
The final, which will feature Dungannon Swifts, has been scheduled for Saturday, February 17
