This season's Champions League dream is over for the Belfast Giants.

Adam Keefe's side put up a battling performance against five-times Swedish title holders Skellefteå AIK last night (Tuesday) at the SSE - but lost 4-2.

Steven Owre and Sam Ruopp were the Giants' goalscorers with a special mention to netminder Peyton Jones after his 23-save display.

Tw goals from Andreas Wingerli and further strikes from Pär Lindholm and Filip Sandberg secured the win for the visitors.

It's back to league action for the Giants on Saturday - they travel to Scotland to take on Jeff Mason’s Dundee Stars.
