Challenge Cup: Giants come from behind to win thrilling final at SSE

The Belfast Giants are the new Challenge Cup champions.

Adam Keefe's side beat the Cardiff Devils 3-2 in a thrilling final at a packed SSE Arena in Belfast.

And they had to do it the hard way - coming from 2-0 down to secure a 3-2 win in overtime against their arch rivals.

It was the fourth time the Giants have lifted the trophy and is their first piece of silverware this season.

Ben Lake found the net in overtime to seal victory after earlier goals from Tyler Soy and David Goodwin.

And it could get even better this season for the Giants.

They are still in with a big shout of a treble - with a possible league title and play-offs to come.
