Carl Frampton’s delayed world title clash with American Jamel Herring this weekend will be shown live on television across the UK.

The pair were originally scheduled to meet in February in London but Frampton suffered a hand injury, meaning the bout had to be postponed. The fight takes place Saturday 3rd April from 10pm, at the Rotunda Caesars Palace, Dubai.

Frampton is bidding to become Ireland's first boxer to win world titles in three weight divisions.

"Absolutely delighted that my fight will be shown to the masses on free to air TV," Frampton shared on social media.

"It is where the sport of boxing should be shown, accessible to everyone in the country. Having the potential of millions being able to watch me make history is truly special."

Frampton enters the ring with a 28-2 record, but has only fought on two occasions since December 2018 when he was stopped by Josh Warrington in an IBF Featherweight title fight.
