Ballyclare strike first in bid for place in the Irish League Premiership
Comrades take one-goal lead into second leg with Institute
It’s first blood to Ballyclare Comrades in the fight for a place in the Irish League Premiership.
They beat Institute 1-0 yesterday in the first leg of their Championship play-off.
The two meet again on Friday at Drumahoe.
Both are bidding to join already promoted champions Warrenpoint.
The winner will play Carrick Rangers, fighting for their Premiership survival, over two legs next week.
Meanwhile, Newry City hammered Armagh City 4-0 in the first leg of their play-off to get into the Championship.
