Mark Allen has triumphed by six frames to four over compatriot Jordan Brown at the UK Snooker Championship.

The all-Northern Ireland meeting attracted plenty of attention in the build-up.

But Allen lived up to his pre-match favourite billing against his fellow Antrim potter.

Allen was in strong form with a 92% pot accuracy rating, and his highest-break of an impressive 113.

Brown meanwhile battled well, himself playing well on the safety.

Allen prevailed however and now awaits the winner of Saturday night's clash of Kyren Wilson or Matthew Selt in the last-16.
