The Irish Cup reaches its semi-final stages this weekend.

And defending champions Coleraine are in the hunt for a third consecutive appearance in the final.

They take on Crusaders at the Oval on Saturday.

Bannsiders forward Eoin Bradly admits they have struggled in the league but says things are very different in cup competitions.

“We have been really inconsistent in the league from the start of the year, but at the end of the day when it comes to the Irish Cup, that's knockout football, and I feel it really suits us,” he said.

“It suits our style, suits our players, where we can go out and give everything."

Bradley was speaking as a guest on our latest BetMcLean football show (in partnership with NIFL) which is an Irish League Cup special.

This is now available to view on Cool FM’s Facebook page (see link below) and to download as a podcast.

Bradley says there is a confidence going into the Crues game.

"I can’t really put my finger on why we've been inconsistent,” he added. Whether it's the new set-up, with a load of new people coming in - you can't really use that as an excuse because every Saturday you should go out and give your all. But when it comes to this Saturday, it'll be a different game.

"The semi win over Larne gave us a lot of belief, but now we've got the hardest draw in the last 4. But whether it's the semi, or the final, you have to play Crusaders anyway.

"They'll not want to play us either, so it'll be a good game."

Also guesting this week is Ballinamallard boss Harry McConkey.

He leads his Championship side in the other semi against Warrenpoint.

The Mallards are the only team outside of the top tier left in the competition.

But McConkey says they fully believe they are capable to pulling off another upset.

“The challenge is massive,” he said. “In the game of football, there have been bigger shocks, and we've beaten Dungannon.

“ It doesn't mean we just go out and repeat that performance, as there are so many things that can happen in the game."

"You can prepare as meticulously as you like, you can do all your hard work on the training pitch, but when you get out there, it comes from within, and how you handle that.”
