About David Gordon

First visiting Downtown’s studios at the ripe old age of 10, David quickly fell in love with radio.

Having been involved in the media for a number of years, David previously worked as a Duty News Editor and Newsreader, he is also a travel journalist for a number of online and print outlets.

Travel is close to David’s heart; in fact, he was Northern Ireland Travel Writer of the Year and a Director of the British Guild of Travel Writers. France and the USA are some of his favourite spots to visit.

“My musical interests span from classical to jazz & blues to country as well as mainstream music.

Do you play any instruments?

“I played the orchestral flute to Grade 8 at school, but not sure I could play it now!”

What’s your go-to karaoke song?

“Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash”

Do you have any hidden talents?

“I can speak French, to a fairly decent conversational level”
