While things are hotting up for Valentine's Day, it looks like the weather is cooling down.

High pressure to the north and east of the UK continues to bring cloud and cold air across the UK this weekend.

In fact, the Met Office has warned that there could be a chance of some snow over higher ground in Scotland and Northern England this weekend.

Northern Ireland's five-day forecast 👇

Today: A cloudy to dull day with rain, mostly light to moderate, but heavier at times over the west of the Province. Southeast winds occasionally freshening around the coasts. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Tonight: Remaining cloudy with occasional rain through the evening and night, however outbreaks turning increasingly light and patchy after midnight. Southeast winds easing mostly light. Minimum temperature 1 °C.

Saturday: Cloudy to dull day with patchy outbreaks of light rain or drizzle. Winds east to southeast mostly light but freshening around the coasts later. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday: Sunday and Monday cloudy to dull with periods of rain, heaviest and most persistent for Monday. During Tuesday gradually drier, brighter, milder weather will feed from the south.
