More heavy rain and flooding expected to hit Northern Ireland

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain across parts of Northern Ireland.
Slow moving showers will turn heavy and perhaps thundery by the afternoon, most likely across west and central Northern Ireland.
Where showers do occur they could give 10-15 mm, perhaps 20 mm in a couple of hours with the potential for some travel disruption and some localised flooding.
Flash foods in Portstewart yesterday afternoon left locals and holidaymakers in the busy seaside spot shaken, as the promenade crumbled away before their eyes due to surging water.
There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.
Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to transport services.
Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures. There is also a small chance that some communities become cut off by flooded roads.
