Met Office issues wind warning for '60mph gusts' tomorrow
Delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely
A yellow Met office weather warning has been issued for a spell of potentially wet and very windy weather affecting Northern Ireland this week.
"An area of strong wind is expected to affect western parts of the UK on Wednesday. Wind gusts of 55-60 mph are likely for eastern areas of Northern Ireland. A band of squally rain will move across the area through the period and may also prove an additional hazard."
"Road, rail, air and ferry services may be affected, with longer journey times and cancellations possible. Some roads and bridges may close. Fallen trees may be an additional hazard. There is a chance that power cuts may occur."
The warning comes into effect from midnight Wednesday and is valid until 3pm Thursday.
