The vital service covers all of Northern Ireland but it takes more than £2 million a year to keep it airborne - and the good news is it's getting a boost thanks to agri-Business ABP.

ABP has become the first brand sponsor of Air Ambulance NI Helicopter, with the ABP logo now displayed on the charity’s helicopters. ABP is one of one of Northern Ireland’s leading agri-business companies and is part of ABP Food Group. The company supplies Northern Irish farm quality assured beef and lamb to many of the UK’s leading supermarkets. It also operates a joint venture partnership with Fane Valley Co-Op with respect to the Linden Foods beef and lamb business in Dungannon.

There is usually a farming related incident each week which has a massive effect on the individual, family, community, and society, so having ABP on board for the next five years is a great way of linking the sector with this vital service.

ABP are helping keep the Air Ambulance in the air and ready to help in an emergency.

The HEMS team delivers world-class pre-hospital care at scene that can be the difference between life and death. Last year it was tasked on 692 occasions, an increase of 18.5% on the previous year. Road traffic, industrial or farm accidents make up the majority of call-outs for the Air Ambulance NI.
