As part of a full day of engagements in Northern Ireland on Tuesday, The Princess Royal’s final stop was at Hillsborough Castle.
Princess Anne was a guest of honour at a garden party, hosted by the Secretary of State.
She met with people from across Northern Ireland, many of whom have made a positive impact in their local community through a range of activities or actions.
Two of those people were Father Martin Magill and Reverend Tracey McRoberts who do cross community work in the Shankill and Falls areas of Belfast.
Reverend McRoberts said the Princess Royal was "down to earth" and had a "really good sense of humour and wit"
The Secretary of State then presented the Princess Royal with a Platinum Jubilee hamper, a special gift produced as part of a Northern Ireland Office initiative to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee.
Just before she left, Princess Anne planted an oak tree in the Castle’s Walled Garden, supporting the Queen’s Green Canopy and also the sustainability of biodiversity at Hillsborough.
Before the party, The Princess Royal attended Ballymena Showgrounds.
A flagship celebration was held in the Co Antrim town to mark the centenary of the work of the St John’s Ambulance with young people across Northern Ireland.
