Teen charged with stabbing murder
A teenager has appeared at Belfast Magistrate's Court charged with the murder of Hazem Ahmed Ghreir.
The 32-year-old died after being stabbed during an incident on Downshire Place near Great Victoria Street in Belfast on Sunday night.
Callin Wilson appeared in the dock in a grey sweatshirt and spoke only to confirm he understood the charges against him.
He's accused of the murder of Mr Ghreir.
The 18-year-old, who has no fixed abode, is also charged with stealing a mobile phone from the victim and with having a knife.
His solicitor called this case a tragedy for all concerned and said the Wilson family offered their sincere condolences to the Ghreirs.
No bail application was made and District Judge Amanda Brady ordered that Wilson be remanded in custody in Hydebank, to appear again via video link on the 5th of July.
