Storm Jocelyn forces Titanic Belfast to close today due to roof damage

Titanic Belfast was forced to close doors today following damage to the roof during Storm Isha.

With Storm Jocelyn on the way today, access to the roof is difficult, so the popular tourist attraction has closed to the public on January 23rd, and customers are being warned not to travel to the site.

Siobhan Lynch, Director of Operations at Titanic Belfast said: "Titanic Belfast will be closed to the public today due to damage caused to the roof during Storm Isha and further inclement weather from Storm Jocelyn preventing safe access to the roof.

"We have taken the decision to close, to safeguard the public and our staff and to allow for further assessment of the damage. The safety of the public and our staff are Titanic Belfast’s priority and as such access to the building is closed and customers are being asked not to come to the site.

"We apologise for the inconvenience caused."

All pre-booked customers will be notified by Titanic Belfast and refunded.
