Snow warning cancelled, but yellow wind alert remains
A yellow weather warning for snow across Northern Ireland is no longer in place for New Year’s day.
However, a yellow weather warning for wind remains for New Year’s Eve.
The Met Office alert comes into force from 6am tomorrow (Tuesday) until 2pm.
What should I expect?
- It’s likely that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities will be affected by spray and/or large waves
- Probably some bus and train services affected, with some journeys taking longer
- Some short-term loss of power and other services is possible
- Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely
