International superstar Lionel Richie will return to Ireland in 2016 to headline the Punchestown Music Festival. Lionel’s shows are world renowned for their party atmosphere and audiences will be able to join Lionel in singing along to all the hits from his extensive and much loved repertoire spanning decades, all the way from the Commodores to the present day.

Speaking about bringing his tour back to Ireland Lionel said:

“I always have a great time in Ireland and I can’t wait to come back! It’s so exciting to be returning to the country and I’m looking forward to an amazing Summer!”

Throughout Lionel’s incredible career he has sold over 100 million albums worldwide whilst receiving prestigious awards along the way including GRAMMYs, American Music Awards, a Golden Globe and even an Oscar.

Shane Filan released his hit album ‘Right Here’ in October 2015 (which went to No.1 in the Irish Charts). Shane is currently on a major UK & Ireland tour including shows at The Olympia Theatre and Cork Opera House.

James Morrison has sold over 4.5 million albums, performed four world tours including sold-out shows to thousands at London’s Hyde Park, supporting both Bruce Springsteen and Stevie Wonder. James’s acclaimed new album Higher Than Here is out now.

British soul songstress Corinne Bailey Rae has just announced the release of her much anticipated new album “The Heart Speaks In Whispers’ due out on May 13.

In the history of recorded music, there have been only a handful of musical groups which have managed to transcend time, genre, and culture...and Sister Sledge is indisputably one of these. As the pages of the Chicago Tribune have asserted, Sister Sledge “has the stuff legends are made of.”

Albert Hammond has been writing hit songs for over fifty years. This is to say that there has not been a single decade in which Albert has not written multiple hits songs since he scored his first hit with “Little Arrows” at the age of 24. His songs have been responsible for the sale of over 360 million records worldwide including over 30 chart-topping hits.

Tickets for Lionel Richie at Punchestown go on sale next Friday at 9am.
