PSNI probe Groomsport off licence burglary
Police are investigating a burglary of an off-licence in Groomsport.
It happened shortly before 3AM on Monday morning.
A substantial number of cigars were taken from the property in the Main Street area. It is believed entry was gained through the front window of the premises.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "Significant damage to a window and lock has been caused, which police believe was through the use of a crowbar type object.
"Enquiries are continuing and police are keen to speak to an individual who was in the village around the time of the incident, wearing a white hoodie and who drove a large white van.
Anyone with any information or who saw anything suspicious in the area between 10pm and 3am, should contact police on 101 quoting reference 1291 of 09/10/23."
