Two men charged to court following burglary in Newtownards

They're due before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Boxing Day.

Detectives investigating an aggravated burglary in the Carmeen Gardens area of Newtownards on Saturday morning, 23rd December have charged two men to court.

A 30-year-old man has been charged with criminal damage, aggravated burglary with intent to steal and obstructing police.

Meanwhile, a 33-year-old man has also been charged with the same offences and an additional charge of possession of a Class C controlled drug.

Both men are due to appear Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 26th December.

As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
