Police say suspicious object in Magherafelt was 'a viable device'

Police say a suspicious object located at the front of a property on Friday in Magherafelt was a viable device.

It has been removed for further examination.

A number of Leckagh Drive residents who'd been evacuated are back in their homes.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police would like to thank everyone for their understanding.

“Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 381 17/11/23.
