Police officer injured in Dungannon vehicle incident

A police officer has been injured after his arm was pinned between a vehicle and police car outside Dungannon on Saturday night.

The officer had been in the process of detaining the driver for a search of the vehicle under the misuse of drugs act just before 10 o'clock in the Kilmascally Road area.

The driver then reversed at speed, dragging the officer for a short distance - before making off at speed.
