Police name victim in Finaghy murder investigation

Detectives leading a murder investigation have named the woman who died in South Belfast on Saturday as Anne O'Neill.

The 51-year-old had reportedly made a distress call at around 7am from a house on Ardmore Avenue in Finaghy.

Police were called to the scene and found the woman injured in a back garden of the property.

Despite the best efforts of emergency services, she died from her injuries at the scene.

Police have arrested two men, aged 23 and 27.
