Four masked men have reportedly broken into a house in south Belfast.

It happened at around 11 o'clock on Saturday night.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "One of the four men was armed with a gun and had forced entry to the property.

"They made threats towards the two people present in the home before making off with jewellery and a large sum of cash.

“Thankfully, the victims were physically uninjured, but understandably they were left extremely distressed by the incident.

"Our enquiries are continuing."
