Police confirm two deaths following separate road traffic collisions

Police have confirmed the deaths of two people in separate road crashes in Northern Ireland.

18-year old Oisin Gregg lost his life following a two-vehicle collision in Kesh, Co Fermanagh.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Officers received a report shortly after 6pm on Friday evening, 7th June of a collision on the Letterboy Road involving a silver Peugeot 207 Sport HDI and blue Honda Accord.

"Sadly, 18-year-old Oisin Gregg, who was the driver of a silver Peugeot 207 Sport HDI, has since passed away from his injuries in hospital.

"Our investigation is continuing to establish exactly what occurred. We would reiterate our appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dash-cam footage to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1515 07/06/24."

Separately, police have also confirmed the death of 75-year old Patricia McGarvey from the Castlederg area.

She was involved in a three-vehicle collision at around 2:10pm on Wednesday, June 12th, in the Strabane Road area between Listymore Road and Dunrevan Road.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "The collision involved a blue Audi A3, silver MG HS Excite and red Vauxhall Corsa.

“Officers attended the scene along with our colleagues from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance Northern Ireland.

“First aid was provided at the scene, and the driver of the red Vauxhall Corsa, 75-year-old Patricia McGarvey from the Castlederg area, was taken to hospital via Air Ambulance. She sadly passed away in hospital.

“Casualties from the two other involved vehicles sustained non-life threatening injuries.

“A full investigation into the circumstances surrounding what occurred is ongoing."
