The Just Eat Restaurant Awards took place last night in London, hosted by comedian Joel Dommett, and Belfast’s very own Pizza Guyz took home the coveted ‘Best Takeaway Award in Northern Ireland.’

The event saw locally-loved takeaways and restaurants from across the UK being recognised as the nation’s best food spots.

No matter the size or scale, everyone nominated was united by their passion and dedication to their customers and employees, and above all, committed to delivering unforgettable food.

Serving fresh, handcrafted pizza, Pizza Guyz is one the most highly-rated restaurants in NI – they offer all the classics plus a few quirky options, perfect for veggies and vegans. Plus, there’s the option for all to be made gluten free.

Owner Ciaran Kelly spoke with Cool FM Downtown News, and shared how much this achievement means to him and his team.

“We’re a small business that’s been running for five years, what we have achieved here is nothing short of amazing. We are absolutely delighted and I’m so proud of the teams we have in our stores.

“Our country has some amazing eateries, the level and the standards are second to none, so to win this has given me and team such pride.”

If you’re a pizza fan, be sure to check out one of Pizza Guyz stores on Ormeau Road, Antrim Road and Anderstown Road, Belfast.
