An iguana gave its owner the shock of her life when he appeared to come back from the dead.

On Wednesday morning, Frank's owner Larissa Palmieri found the exotic pet cold and lifeless at her home in Haslingden and was unable to open his eyes.

The 30 year old feared the worst after spending the next few hours trying to warm him up, wrapping him in a blanket and putting him near a radiator.

Deciding the orange iguana had died in the night, Larissa had him taken to a pet crematorium in Bury - only for staff to call back saying he'd been spotted moving about.

Frank was checked over by vets where nothing serious appeared to be wrong.

Owner Larissa has called the ordeal 'a miracle'.
