Belfast's Odyssey Bowl share sad news that it's closing after 11 years
What will be left at the SSE arena?
Last updated 28th May 2021
Years ago we used to queue around the block to take part and enjoy some of the exciting facilities at the SSE Arena Belfast.
From the vintage BOX and Beach club nights out, to the luxury VIP cinema up stairs, we've all walked through those doors.
Who would have thought in 2021, we would all be queuing for something a little bit different.
And sadly today, the team at Odyssey Bowl shared the news that they have closed their doors for the last time.
It used to be of the most popular venues in the arena, filled with state of the art bowling allies, arcade games, air hockey and pool tables. It used to be the perfect spot for school trips and first dates 💔
The business shared an emotional statement on social media:
"After 11 years, The Odyssey Bowl has closed its doors for good. We would like to thank all of our fantastic customers for the memories and the great craic over the years."
"Thank you for the support and making Odyssey Bowl what is was. It's been an absolute pleasure!"
"Our team are very saddened by the news, but we have all made friends for live in our wee Odyssey Bowl family."
Let us know what your memories are of the SSE Arena when it first opened in December 2000.
