Nightclubs given a reopening date across Northern Ireland

Nightclubs will reopen from October 31st across Northern Ireland, as Stormont Ministers agree to relax further restrictions.
It is understood that dancing will be permitted again with mitigations - venues and organisers will ask customers to prove full vaccination, a negative lateral flow test or evidence of a Covid infection within the last six months.
This is a huge step in the Pathway to Recovery, as nightclubs and indoor events were allowed to reopen in July in England.
The First and Deputy First Ministers announced social distancing in bars and restaurants will also be removed at the end of the month.
However, today’s announcement brings the following easements:
From October 14th
There will be no limited number for people to meet in a private home
Audience members when seated indoors when watching a performance in doors will go in theatres removed
Audience members can stand indoors for events
From October 31st
The 1 meter social distancing rule will be removed
Nightclubs can reopen, with mitigations
