Newry Courthouse business redirected due to flooding

Cases are set to temporarily move from Newry Courthouse after the flooding which has hit the city

Newry Courthouse is to temporarily redirect its business from Wednesday, November 1.

It is due to widespread flooding that has hit the city.

Scheduled Magistrates Court sittings will be moved to Craigavon Courthouse.

A spokesperson for the Department of Justice said: "This is a temporary measure to allow for remedial works to take place and ensure staff and the public are kept safe.

"Court business will return to Newry Courthouse as soon as possible."
