Mother and child escape injury in burglary
A mother and her young daughter have escaped injury after men armed with hammers burgled their home in east Belfast on Monday night.
A number of men broke into the house on Fashoda Street at around 8.30pm.
They proceeded to smash a window in the kitchen and at the front of the house before leaving.
The woman was in the house with her young daughter but they were not injured during the incident.
