More than 40 firefighters are at the scene of a fire at a derelict hotel in Enniskillen this morning.

Police are also the scene on Forthill Street.

The public is being asked to avoid the area.

A statement from NIFRS said, “crews are currently dealing with an ongoing incident at Forthill Street, Enniskillen. At present there are 9 Fire Appliances and 43 personnel carrying out firefighting operations.”

"We would advise members of the public to avoid the area where possible and nearby homeowners to keep their windows and doors closed.”

In a statement the PSNI said, “Police and Fire Service are at the scene of a fire at a derelict hotel at Forthill Street in Enniskillen and are urging the public to avoid the area. Forthill street is likely to be closed for some time while emergency services deal with this incident.”
