Mayobridge crash victim named
45 year old Joe Rooney was from the local area
The man who died in a crash in Mayobridge early on Friday morning has been named by police.
45 year old Joe Rooney, who was a pedestrian at the time died after he was struck by a grey Audi A4 on the Hilltown Road around 6am.
Sergeant Green said: “Our enquiries are ongoing, and we are appealing to anyone who was travelling in the area at the time of the collision, or who has any dash cam or mobile phone footage, to contact us on 101, quoting reference number 247 of 29/12/23.”
