Man suffers facial fractures during Belfast assault

A man has sustained a number of facial fractures following an assault in a car park.

Detectives in Belfast are appealing for witnesses following the incident in the Exchange Street car park area of Dunbar Street on Friday 21st October.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "It was reported that sometime before 11.25pm, a man in his 20s, who was in the front passenger seat of a vehicle was attacked by another man in his 20s who grabbed him around the neck before punching him repeatedly to the head and face.

"The injured man sustained a number of facial fractures and is currently receiving treatment in hospital.

"We would ask anyone with any information about this assault to call detectives on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 280 22/10/22, or to submit a report online using the non-emergency reporting form via http://www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/."
