A man was killed after being struck by a train in Lurgan last night.

It is understood the incident took place around 8’clock at the William Street level crossing just outside the town centre.

Diversions were in place overnight but the road has since opened.

It is the second train death in Lurgan this year.

In a statement, the PSNI said: "The death is not being treated as suspicious.

"The road re-opened last night and there are no further details at this stage."
